At Pā Kālai ʻIli, education and outreach are at the heart of our mission. We offer culturally informed workshops, storytelling sessions, and community events that share the deep history, protocols, and significance of kākau uhi with Native Hawaiians and the broader public. Our programs encourage individuals to reconnect with their genealogy and stories, and foster greater understanding of Hawaiian cultural traditions. Through partnerships and resource development, we help ensure that knowledge and pride in our heritage are accessible to current and future generations.

Health & Wellness

Generations of colonization and systemic neglect have created enduring disparities for Native Hawaiians, resulting in loss of land, destruction of homes and sacred sites, and chronic intergenerational trauma. Research consistently shows that reconnecting with culture and ancestry promotes individual and collective resilience, improves psychological well-being, and can help heal the psychic injuries caused by displacement and historical trauma.
